Former THE EXALTED PILEDRIVER Guitarist To Record New Solo EP

March 10, 2010

Former THE EXALTED PILEDRIVER guitarist Mark Anthony Kopernicky (a.k.a. Kinky Pork Cream) is continuing work on his PROJECT GEMINI solo project with the help of Michael Burley (guitar/vocalist of the Vancouver-based RUSH tribute called R30),Monica Julie (HAYLEY STARK),bassist Rob Tollefson (ex-PILEDRIVER) and drummer Gerry Keough (ex-PILEDRIVER, RECKON WITH ONE).

Commented Mark: "While I've been waiting to receive vocal ideas and melodies from Mike and Monica for the songs they will be singing, I've written some more songs. And I must admit that I really like these new songs. So, rather then put them on the shelf for a later recording, I've decided to record a four-song EP as well as the full-length release ('Tornadic'). I have booked some studio time, starting April 10, at a well respected studio in just north of Toronto to begin work on the EP. No title yet but I'm sure I will come up with one shortly.

"I'm looking very forward to getting started as I feel these songs are a huge step forward for me as a songwritter. I feel the songs are very melodic yet heavy.... and very progressive."

THE EXALTED PILEDRIVER's first album in 22 years, "Metal Manifesto", was released on November 18, 2008. The CD was mixed by veteran Neil Kernon (CANNIBAL CORPSE, NEVERMORE) and it follows up the classic cult discography of the band: "Metal Inquisition" (1985) and "Stay Ugly" (1986).
